I'm arranging to visit Brent Pelham next month (August)and would like to look at the Parish registers in St Mary the Virgin Church.

However, I have not been able to find any information about who the Vicar is, or a contact telephone number.

My Gt Grandmother was Ann Brett (b.1866 BP), daughter of Thomas Brett (b.1831 BP) and Jane Bayford(b.1844 FP). She isn't buried there but I've been told that there are lots of Brett's who are and I'm very much looking forward to my visit.

Can anybody on this board help me?

A big 'Thankyou' to Mr Ted Barclay who very kindly showed my cousin and I the Parish Records at St. Mary the Virigin Church in Brent Pelham, and told us some fascinating local stories, when we visited on Wednesday.

It was a very worthwhile trip, we got lots of information on my Brett and Bayford ancestors. I recognised lots of other family names from my family tree iin the registers but there just wasn't time to look for them all so I look forward to visiting again!
