Furneux Pelham is once again entering the annual "Village of the Year" competition. This year judging will take place on the 16 th of June. The village is judged on both its appearance, and on its programme of social and community events. Please help the village to once again win a prize in this prestigious competition. Everyone can do their bit during the next week to make the village look as attractive as possible. Small gestures like picking up any rubbish that you may see, or mowing your front lawn can be a big help. Many thanks. |

The trail will feature on a large pictorial map of the village, which will go on permanent display later this summer. There might even be a picture of your house on the map. Come and find out more at 8pm in Furneux Pelham Village Hall on Thursday 8 June 2006Many villagers have contributed to the map since notices first appeared in St Mary’s Review – if you haven’t had your say, now’s your chance. Tomorrow will be the final opportunity to preview the route and influence how the map will look before the illustrator starts work on it. If you are unable to come to the meeting and want to find out more please email parishmap@christopherhadley.co.uk We still need your memories about village life in the past, and your anecdotes about interesting characters and events. Please send an email or post them on the discussion forum on this website. Christopher Hadley |
