Last term the children elected the school councillors, two from each year group from year 1 to year 6, to represent them on the School Council.  This term the councillors have been busy putting their plans into action to create an eco-friendly school.  Their aim is to cut down on wasting natural resources and energy by encouraging their fellow pupils to turn off lights and stop taps dripping.  The school has recently taken delivery of a compost bin that will be used to recycle waste from the fruit and veg scheme, paper shreddings etc.
Over the last few years the school has worked hard to improve its ICT (information and Communication Technology) provision for the children and staff.  In January the school was assessed for and gained the ICT Award.  This award recognises the high standard of provision and the use of ICT across the school.
As last year, the children are collecting the Sainsbury’s vouchers that can be redeemed for sports equipment.  If you would like to help them, please hand any vouchers into the school office.  Thank you.
